Roll Call and Apologies for absence To call the roll and receive any apologies for absence.

In pursuance of the statutory powers derived from the Courts Act 1971 and the Local Government Act 1972, to appoint an Honorary Recorder for Carlisle in accordance with the following procedure: (a) Introduction and Welcome by the Chair.
(b) Pursuant to Minute C.108/25, the Chair will invite nominations and seconding for the installation of His Honour Judge Nicholas Barker as Honorary Recorder for Carlisle, during his tenure in the Office of Resident Judge for Carlisle Combined Court.
(c) The Honourable Mr Justice Goose, Senior Presiding Judge of the Northern Circuit to speak in support of the appointment.
(d) His Honour Judge Barker to subscribe to a Declaration of Acceptance of Office in the “Oath of Allegiance and Judicial Oath Book.
(e) The Chair will present a framed certificate to His Honour Judge Barker to mark his appointment.
(f) His Honour Judge Barker to then return thanks on his appointment. |
